External Competition Rules | Stalybridge Photographic Club

SPC partake in external competitions with other local clubs throughout the year. Below are the mutually agreed rules and format for each competition.

RULES & GUIDELINES FOR HIGH PEAK TROPHY COMPETITION.

The ‘4’ participating Clubs are: –

Bramhall PS

High Peak (Formerly Chapel PS)

Macclesfield

This competition will take place ONCE per year. Each year each Club will take turns to host (dates to be agreed by all) and elect a Judge of their choice.

Each Clubs entry to consist of 8 Prints & 8 PDIs (open Colour or Mono)

A photographer may enter a max of ‘2’ images across the ‘2’ categories (Prints & PDIs).

E.g. 2 x PDIs, OR 2 Prints, or 1 x PDI & 1 x Print

Except for final printing, images entered must be entirely the work of the stated photographer.

PDIs: –

Must be within 1600 pxl (horizontal) x 1200 pxl (vertical) in JPEG format and sRGB colour space (including Mono).

PRINTS: –

Prints can be mounted on card & backed 50cm x 40cm & not thicker than 4mm,

Alternatively, prints can be mounted on 50cm x 40cm card with a window opening.

A digital file of each print is required.

NOTE: DPIs of the DPIs to be sent to the Judge ahead of the Competition, but NOT DPIs of the PRINTS; they are to be judged as PRINTS on the actual Competition night.
